Default 5th generation transmission "surge"

I have a 2007 (126k miles) and have been noticing as it's getting colder outside the transmission surges about twice (sometimes 3 times) a day usually from 2nd-3rd gear or 3rd-4th. Is this normal? I've already reset the TCM and changed fluid out.

I've noticed these transmissions can be buggy sometimes and once it gets stuck in a certain way of shifting it is like that for a few days.

Anyone else have issues when it gets cold? Once I've driven for about a half hour it's fine. But forget getting in this car and driving off on a cold start. Transmission is sluggish!

It's a known issue, take it to your mechanic/dealer for a software upgrade to fix it.

What color is your transmission fluid bright red, brown, or black in color? Is this the first time you have changed the fluid out and did you do a fluid flush? If this is your first fluid change out
I recommend doing another one if not you should be ok. I change my fluid every 30k on my using Max Life synthetic ATF and no problems with cold shifts.
