Question Is $600 labor for thermostat and seal replacement reasonable?

I just had my 2011 ES350 serviced and they replaced the thermostat, gasket and seal. The bill was about $125 for parts and $600 labor (3 hours work, as far as I can tell). Does it take this long to replace a thermostat and seal and test? I've replaced thermostats and seals in the past and it only took about 30-45 minutes.
Am I missing something special about my model Lexus?

1. Was this a dealership? Their hourly rate is higher than an independent shop.

2. It’s not about how long it takes but how long the book says it takes. All mechanics use the flat rate system and the time for each job is referenced from companies like ALLDATA.

3. Do you have an itemized receipt of the work completed?

4. I’ve attached two files. One for the thermostat flat rate amount with part cost and one for the thermostat gasket part cost. About $35 in parts, 1.6 hours of labor.

That is just too much money.
They need no more than 1 hour to do the job.

ya, looks like they charged you way more than MSRP for parts. not sure how hard it is to get the the thermostat on this engine. You named off 3 parts, maybe we are missing something, what is this seal?

Geesus. It’s not very difficult replacing the thermostat on this engine. Its one of the few easy things to replace on it. Cost for parts looks right if you got a coolant flush also.
