Default Car took longer to start

My ignition went in on for a extra few moments of startup before turning over recently , I have reset my ecu by disconnecting the battery and when I tried to start the car it failed to start and for the next 20 minutes I smelt a rubbery burning smoky smell in the cabin. Did resetting the ecu burn up my ignition ?

Very doubtful. Burnt rubber is probably your serpentine belt rubbing on a seized pulley/bearing. In another thread you mentioned you had a bad alternator. It’s bearing or decoupler pulley could be seized. Remove the belt and check all the bearings. Check the belt for burnt surface.
