Yeah the led lights I bought didn’t work (surprise surprise)
bought the ones suggested in this thread, drl light flickered and the fog light didn’t even turn on. Going to try adding a resistor in the mix and if it doesn’t work with them, returning everything. This turning out to be a nightmare. Also I replaced the HID bulbs, only to have an awful beam pattern. Going to trying replacing those and if it doesn’t work return those as well and end up keeping it stock. Annoyed is an understatement.

So it ended up working. Decided to skip the LED DRL/high beams.
upgraded HID to 6000k, looked pretty blue so I bought some 6500k fog lights to compensate but the fogs are STILL whiter, but not enough to bother me. Upgraded look has me much happier. Dealership next to turn off DRL. Thanks for all the help. Also bought a anti flicker decoder and put on fogs, originally to try with DRL but they stayed on high beams so put them on fogs. Not sure if was necessary but did it. Here ya go:

the fogs are just as bright, almost too much, but haven’t had anyone flash me yet. DRL=daytime running lights—the ugly yellow ones that come on automatically during daytime closest to the grille. Also DRL uses the same bulb as your high beams(brights)

HID bulb ($30 a pair)

ah, I misread, thought you had found an LED bulb to replace the HID's

what LED's did you end up with ? clarification, where was the decoder placed? both fog and low beams?

only the fogs are LED, the low beams are still HID just a different (cooler color) bulb than oem. So if you’re wondering about where in the line was the decoder placed it went:
LED bulb>Decoder>Car wired plugin

if you’re wondering where it was placed in the body? I don’t know it came with double sided tape so I just mounted it somewhere on the frame and zip tied some lines.

the led might not have needed decoder, because The connections didn’t click together so I had to use electric tape to hold them. So it may have been faulty connection, and I bought decoder thinking they didn’t work properly. Either way, here ya go:

Decoder (might not need still unsure)

In the event you still want to achieve LED DRL w/o losing your High beam feature, Xenon Depot offers a solution but it is a bit pricey ($211 before taxes). The link is https://www.xenondepot.com/9005-xtre...pro?quantity=1. You have to also add the OPTIONAL PWM DRL DRIVERS (for regulating the difference in power from DRL to high beam). I've used them for about 3 years in my 2011 es 350 and they look great still.
