Unhappy Steering and Evap Leak Issues

Hi Guys,

I have Lexus ES 350 2011 in UAE. Its an American imported model. I recently purchased it at about 149k miles. The car is perfect overall but I have been facing 2 major issues which I cant really understand how to fix. Any help would be appreciated

1) When I first bought the car, it was sitting with the dealer for months and the wheel alignment wasn't done. So the steering was sitting a bit on the right for a long time. As soon as I bought the car i got the tie rods alignment done and the steering was straight. But now what I am facing is whenever I turn the steering right it gets stuck while coming back almost at the point where it used to be when I bought the car. The complete steering otherwise is perfect, its smooth returns back to center whenever i turn it left but only on the right side when i turn it about 30°-40° it gets sort of stuck and requires me to manually bring it to the center. Could anyone help with this issue?

2) I have been hearing whistling noises while accelerating through the left windshield. There is a very small gap within the windshield i guess it wasnt set correctly. At first I thought its because of the air gap. But the whistling noise only comes on accelerating and not any other time. So i checked the OBD codes and I am getting P0455, P0441, P0102, P0430, P0420. I have already replaced the Gas cap with an OEM one and it didn't help. What else can I check? Its a very annoying noise to drive with.

1. You need a shop to inspect your steering and suspension for binding and failing parts that could cause this problem. This could be a serious safety issue if your steering fails.

2. However first try replacing some of the power steering fluid. Just siphon the reservoir dry, then pour in new fluid. The system only holds about a liter so doing this replaces over half the fluid. Do it a couple more times after driving to replace all of it. The proper power steering fluid is Dexron Automatic Transmission Fluid. Easily found in any auto parts store.

3. You could put some black silicone caulk into the windshield gap to seal it up and then learn if the noise is less.

4. With the codes it could also be the Charcoal Canister needs to be replaced or the Catalytic Convertor or something else as described below.
See this https://www.vehicleservicepros.com/s...0420p0430-dtcs

5. Found this online:
P0441, P0446 and P2418 are recorded by the ECM when there is an evaporative emissions leak or when there is a malfunction in either the EVAP VSV, the pressure switching valve, or in the vapor pressure sensor itself.
The P0455 is EVAP System Large Leak Detected.
So- before we even begin, triple-check the Fuel Cap. Check the underside of the fuel cap for any cracks or signs of defects that may keep the cap from sealing correctly. If there are any doubts about the inspection of the cap, replace it. Keep in mind, you will need a cap that meets OE Specs. Those "universal" or "locking" fuel caps sold at after market parts stores do not meet OE specs, and will not seal the system correctly.
IF the Cap checks ok, test the VSV's:
VSV EVAP: 37 - 44 Ohm at 20 °C (68 °F)
Pressure Switching VSV: 25 - 30 Ohm at 20 °C (68 °F)
If the VSV's check ok, the problem will lie in the Vapor Pressure Sensor. Make sure to check all the vacuum lines between the VSV's for any cracks, holes or missing connections.
