Hey everyone, I bought a used es350 recently and the tpms light is on, I assume the car came with full sized spare because the size for spare and regular tires on the car is same but in my trunk there was a donut and no tpms sensor in it. Mechanic told me my car is looking for a 5th sensor that's why light will stay on. Is there any way to change this configuration so it only looks for 4? Or maybe a way to spoof it? I'm thinking the only solution is to swap the donut and find a full sized spare

If it’s possible it will have to be done by the dealer. The other thing is to get a generic tpms sensor to put in the tire and clone it with the serial # of the missing sensor. A tire shop can do that. The missing serial # is stored in the car’s computer.
