Windshield fluid, clogged or pump gone bad?
2009 Lexus ES350
Plenty of fluid but it started with one side not squirting windshield fluid and now both sides don't work. Not sure if they're clogged or the pump has died. To rule out the first, I would like to detach the hose line and clear them. How do I take them out without breaking the plastic parts?

Don't detach the hose as you don't need to do that yet and it probably will break something. There is nothing to clog them except ice.
The hoses or more likely the nozzle ends may just be frozen from the recent weather.
Did you have full strength washer fluid or was it diluted with water?
Open the hood and look at the washer hoses and squeeze them to feel for ice crunching or water squishing if you can tell the difference.
Try warming the ends with a hair dryer and using a pin to clear the nozzles.
You will need an assistant to pull the washer lever while you stand by the engine with the hood open to listen for the pump. I bet it works just fine based on your history.

Thank you for your reply. It has full strength washer fluid plus car's been in the garage so it's definitely not frozen. As mentioned, it was strange because only one side failed then a couple months later the other side failed as well.
I'll have to do the sound test with another person to make sure the pump hasn't failed.
