On warm mornings 50 degrees and above the tire pressure readout will appear on the start up. However, on colder mornings, the readout does not show, except for blanks----

During the day, as it warms up, it will appear on restart. Any ideas? It does not appear that it is the car warming up that triggers it, but the weather, because on cold days, it does not show up on restart.

 

How old is the car? Are the TPMs original? One or more of them may be reaching the end of their battery life…generally 8-10 years.

Noticing this on our 2014 ES300h. Do we need to change out TPMS on all the wheels now? Or is it just a battery change? How hard is it to do? Can Discount Tire handle this?

 

The batteries in the sensors last 7-10 years on average. Sensor batteries cannot be changed and new sensors need to be installed.
Any tire shop should be able to install and program new sensors. Tire bead needs to be open to remove and install new ones.
