2013 ES300h - 161,000 miles
Gem of a car. Love it. Want to take it to 300,000 miles before getting another gasoline EV (Not a PHEV). VERY minor
issues over the 10 years (new) I have owned it.
I cannot find data on how long the original batteries might work nor user experiences
with replacing a battery pack (reconditioned or Toyota new).
My batteries are delivering 90% of new performance. Will they gradually decline or will a major drop-off occur?
Anyone have info? Thanks
Can I expect this car to remain a daily driver for another 2-3 years?
thanks

It could easily last another 2 - 3 years as there are Priuses and Camry Hybrids with the same battery chemistry that have run to higher mileage (>200,000) and age (15 years). I had looked into this a while ago. You can get Green Bean to replace your battey if it dies. I thnk it was about $2,500 or so. You can get a 3 year warranty or a lifetime warranty on their hybrid battery.

These cars traction battery last a long time.
Currently I have 234k on my 2013 ES300h model and all cells are good so far.
I had a previous 07 GS450h and it went to 263k and had a few cells low but car still ran fine.
Over time the cells deteriorate at which point if enough of them cant hold the charge within a certain threshold you get a CEL code saying replace battery pack. Car will be very driveable still.
There is a service by DrPrius I think he is in Virginia where he can replace weak cells (instead of entire battery pack) at a good cost if you get to that point.
