Will closing the trunk manually (somewhat gently that is, not slamming it) cause issues with the power assist feature that enables it to close using the button inside the trunk? Sometimes I am in a hurry and can't wait for the trunk to close on its own.

 

Once you press the button to close the trunk you can walk away, get in the car, or anything else as it will close and secure itself automatically. No waiting necessary...

 

I also have this problem at the grocery store when sometimes I get a delivery to my car and the person does not know about the power trunk close and instead tries to close it manually.
