Hi guys, the rear sunshade of my es350 2015 is getting stuck in the middle when i put the car in reverse and doesn’t come back up when i put it in drive. only if i put the car in park it comes back up. it also does the same thing when i use the button and the button doesn’t put the shades back up either. The motor seems fine as the shades are going down and up but the problem is its not going down completely and doesn’t come up after i put it in drive after reversing.

There is a video on youtube on how to fix that. Probably something with mechanical rails... might need to be cleaned and lubricated.
Not an easy job for a novice.

I don't think the rails are the problem here. I think it is ECU related, a reset should fix the issue.

My 2014 ES did that probably around 2019 or so. I was concerned, too. I let it be and eventually it just fixed itself--probably in about a week's worth of use--and it's been working fine since. So...maybe just let it go up and down for a week or two and see if it stays stuck.
