Hey so I’ve been having this issue for a couple days trying to figure out what’s going on. My dash says my hood is open but it’s completely closed I checked for debris could possibly be blocking anything and nothing. I even tried unplugging the sensor and it’s still going off. I’ve also restarted the car while it’s unplugged and it still goes off. Has anyone had this problem before? I really don’t want to take to a dealership and spend a ridiculous amount on something that’s an easy fix. Really just looking for a way to disable the alarm going off for it.

The alarm system is looking for a closed latch switch when the hood is closed. The switch will appear to be open if you unplug the connector. A jumper is needed to bypass the switch if that is your problem. Another possibility is a broken wire causing the circuit to be open.
