How to backup firmware lexus es350 and to restore other es350
Hi guys , Please help me. I want to backup a Lexus ES350 from the firmware head unit and restore it on another ES350.
The reason for this is that I want to backup the firmware of a Lexus in the GCC region and install it on an American Lexus that has both the Arabic language and receives the radio frequencies of the GCC region.

Don't even try to do that. You will brick it.

Bro, does that mean it is not possible? So can you suggest a solution?
As I said, we live in the GCC region and here most of the Lexus cars are imported from America and there are some problems like not receiving the radio signals in this region or the digital odometers of these cars are MPH.

Don't they have dealers in that area that can do this for you?

Cyberg66, what you probably don't realize is that Lexus (and Toyota) build vehicles for different geographic markets with different options and hardware installed (for example I believe it is Oceana who have rear seat heaters in their ES models while North America does not). This would include wiring harness and, by extension, the connectors on those. You would be in danger of turning the computer firmware in your car into a "brick"...ie, only useful to build a wall or sidewalk with...if you attempted to modify the programming to something that the car was not built for. People have attempted in the past to do things like....say, install the GPS system or even default language into their Lexus (Lexi?) from a different marketplace. What you are being told is "try it at your own risk...nobody here has attempted (or at least admitted to attempting) that kind of modification. Not that it's indicative of Toyota but I know that people who buy camera gear "internationally" sometimes find that they can't understand the language that the menus display in and further, can't even change them to a language they can understand. As Mike728 suggested, talk to your local Lexus dealer...they will likely tell you it's impossible but you lose nothing by asking.
