Get a cheap one from Amazon, or take it out to a Auto parts store. They can charge and load test for you. I think that is a 150amp alternator in the ES350. A long drive out say 30 plus mins during the day, no lights, with everything shut off at 55mph, and back should charge it also.

You have to get it fully charged, then load tested. Any auto parts store will load test it for you once it is fully charged. Can’t accurately test it without being fully charged. Or just use it and see if it re-charges from the alternator and working ok. Read the link above to help understand this system as it appears it is still unclear to you.

Any napa battery will be better than the cheapest Costco battery. I like interstate batteries overall, but the costco low-grade ones are junk, it pains me to say.
Have been using it today and seems to have started and stopped ok today 🤞 (few times).

When testing battery after car was turned off still reads at (seems same as day prior):

12.1v and 61%

I'm not sure if the battery will get to a full charge as haven't been driving that long (assuming takes hours).

Am I out of the woods or hard to know at this point.

8 year old battery? Just change it. I’ve never had a lead acid battery last more than 3 years here in the desert.

So I got a pulse trickle charger and charged the battery to 100%. After that the car didn't start and seems to have killed the battery? Does this make any sense? Add everything was fine before using it- the car started many times with no issue.

Got a boost today and seems also the check engine light went off..
