Next-Gen Lexus ES (ES350 and ES300h confirmed)

The new styling theme translates well onto the new ES. I think it looks good. What I'm not feeling as much is the new interior styling Lexus is showing us. It is pretty much a variation on the GS interior. While the door panels look nice I still haven't warmed to the shelvy, horizontal geometry of the dash. I sat in the new GS in Chicago just last weekend and while it's well finished the dash design doesn't appeal to me very much. the New ES has essentially the same qualities.

Very few people liked that control box, on the 4GS, it became an empty coin holder box. I am sure it is the same arrangement on the 6ES.

I see that it also has the mouse-control thing on the center console the same as the RX and new GS has. I played with this in the GS at the Chicago Auto Show and found it quite touchy and overly sensitive. It took quite a delicate touch to keep from overshooting the icon or selection you wanted. Is there a way to adjust the control/ curser speed on this?

yep.. i dont understand the "too good" mentality... if they dont make it "too good", then someone else will take the sale.

I still like overall design of the new GS better. It's more aggressive and classy. Looking at the new ES more and more I don't really like the extended hood line in it at all. However, the taillight looks pretty good.

I use that drop panel maybe twice a month. It's nice having the buttons hidden away for a cleaner look.
