Oh yes for sure, especially the LS usually is a bigger and more grand version of the ES.

The next-gen LS is going to blow people away, just wait. It will be on a whole other planet compared to pretenders like the current Equus or even next-gen Equus. It will blow away the 7 Series and A8 as well. Both the next-gen LS and the next-gen S Class will be in another planet compared to the rest of the competition.

They need a better handling compromise. Probably going to be something like the stock setup in the 4LS sport I would think.. The tech of course will be insane. I have seen night vision with the Germans but not with the LS. Not saying its needed but at this level they need all of the bells and whistles

2013 GS450h has night vision... and Toyota has had it in japan for very very long time now.

I saw the car in person today at the NYAS. The car looks beautiful in person and is pretty huge!!! The interior is nice, very similar to 4GS. The car seemed very spacious compared to my 3GS. What I did not like is the small navi screen placed inside that big opening, looks a bit strange with all the extra space. The hybrid was there as well, but you cant sit inside

I can put a picture of my family in the blank space next to the NAV.

Fixed. The LS forum is full of people it "blew" away.. The LS debuted I believe 11 world firsts including the worlds first V-8 luxury AWD hybrid. The LS went from one size fits all to
RWD, AWD
SWB, LWB
Reg, Sport, Hybrid
yadda yadda

It won world car of the year and Top Gears Executive car of the year. When the car debuted with the "auto parking" ads, it BLEW people away. It sold superb, it was the first $100,000 Japanese car.

Lexus didn't really miss the boat with the LS at all and surely the next one will be out of this world looking at how the ES, GS are looking/doing.

So the 4LS when it first came out, including the hybrid with the LED headlamps and the full leather dash, didn't blow people or the competition away? I think it did .

Keep in mind, the 4LS was also developed, and released during the "weak period" for Toyota/Lexus, when they dropped the ball a bit on quality and attention to detail, when the bean counters were running the company. The 5LS is going to be a stronger effort, and the 4LS was by no means a weak effort at all.

The 4LS still continues to win many quality awards, and continues to gather accolades.

I don't want to repeat what SICK said, but he said it best. I guess it depends how you view "blew" people or the competition away, but the 4LS surprised a lot of people, specifically the LS hybrid.
