Soo folks.. As you can see I've been a CL member since 2010 but of several different forums. Lets see:

2010 HS250 RED, Black Interior
2011 IS250 FSport - Matador Red, Black Interior
2013 GS350 FSport - Riviera Red, Flaxen interior (Stunning)

and now.. hopefully last for a bit;; ES300h. I appear to be shooting for every letter of the Lexus lineup! /rolleyes

About the ES. VERY nice car. LOVE the mpgs and first black car. Actually I think its very distinguished.

So, without further ado.. pics and hopefully, this is my last forum stop on CL.

OH the details:2013 ES300h w/Luxury Pkg.
Extras: Clearshield (the Saran-wrap on the nose and side mirrors)
Silver Pinstriping
Limo Black tinted windows (legal in Texas).
Chrome Tailpipe extender

Default Introduction

Hi,

Purchased first Lexus on Monday May 13, 2013. 2013 - ES350, red matador exterior, ivory interior, 4 door sedan, ultra luxury package, panorama glass roof, heated steering wheel, wood and leather trimmed shift **** and steering wheel.

We have been Toyota owners (2011 Avalon) and test drove the ES350 on Friday, purchased it on Saturday and took delivery on Monday.

The Bridgestone OE tires have a tire wear rating of 270. I wanted a higher tire wear rating, so the dealership is going to swap out the Bridgestone for a Michelin that has a tire wear rating of 500.

Welcome and congrats! Same as mine, but I have a black interior.

Are they swapping tires off another ES? If so, your getting 17" replacements for your 18". If not, and they ordered replacement tires for you, good job! I look forward to the day my Bridgstones wear out.

A 2013 Silver ES 300h with the leather + navi packages. First time Lexus owner and very excited. I actually don't pick up the car until Saturday but thought I'd cruise the forums to get up to speed.

Default I'm back....

I'm finally back to the Lexus family. We just got a 2013 in Starfire Pearl for the wife. She is really enjoying the car.

I just couldn't keep it stock so the modding has already begun.

Congratulations and welcome back!!!

I see you're going for the black and white theme. Is that painted, a cover, or a black wrap on the front?

Thanks Kenny. That's a wrap job. It's a brushed black metal metallic up close. Tint is coming up next.

Default Happy New Owner

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for all the information that has been posted in here, It was extremely helpful when making my decision.

My name is Kyle and I am the proud new owner of a 2013 ES 350!!

Went with the following trim:
Starfire Pearl
Black Leather
Technology Package.

I'm in Canada (BC) so it might be called something different, maybe the Ultra Luxury package I think??
Anyway, its my first Lexus and I'm lovin the experience so far. The vehicle is exactly what I wanted. I've only had it a few days so there isn't too much to tell just yet. I used the info from this site to help answer my questions, the dealership was a smooth and pleasant experience throughout and I've been enjoying the drive to work like never before.
I'll look forward to reading everyone's posts and sharing some of my thoughts in the future.

Thanks

Kyle

Default ES350 crusie with radar does not work as conventional cruise

My 2013 ES350 has 6000 miles on it and I am happy with the car which I had to custom order so that I have the safety features I wanted which include: radar controlled cruise and collision avoidance system, lane departure alert, automatic dimming of high beam and blind side monitor.

The one thing that does not seem to work is switching the cruise from vehicle to vehicle distance mode to conventional cruise mode. The instructions in the manual make no sense and no matter what I tried I can not get it to work without radar. The dealer is in another state and can't verify the issue because they did not see a car with radar control since I asked. I don't have a dealer near me either. Not a tragedy but if anyone of you have an ES350 with radar I would appreciate a response.

Default Do you have the radar controlled cruise?

My previous cars were ;
2002 Lexus ES 300
2005 Lexus ES 330
2006 Lexus GS
2006 LS 430
2007 LS 460
2008 LS 460L
2010 ES 350
2011 ES 350
2013 ES 350
Obviously I am a big fan !
If you have every option than you should have the radar controlled cruise. I just posted my issue with not being able to set the cruise from vehicle to vehicle control to conventional cruise. I would appreciate it if you would let me know whether you tried that because the instructions in the manual do not work on my car. Thanks,

robagt
