Default In love... <3

Hi, everyone! I just joined ClubLexus yesterday and I'm still navigating around here. I bought my very first Lexus last week on Saturday 6/27/20. This will be the second car I ever owned; my previous was a 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5 S, which I bought back in 2012. As much as I loved that car, it was unreliable with so many mechanical issues. It finally died on me......in a car accident back in late September 2018. I was car-less since then up until I bought my Lexus; I relied heavily on the DC Metro Area's public transportation and my brother's 2016 Honda Accord EX-L V6 (great car, btw). Anyways, here's my new babe

Year: 2016
Model: ES 350 Base
Exterior: Aluminum
Interior: Dark Gray
Options: Navigation, sunroof, lip spoiler, 17-inch rims
Price: Right below $24,000 (before fees, APR, and extended warranty)
Mileage: Hit 20,000 right after I got it

I already love this car. It's very comfortable and well-built. A few personal tidbits:
  • The remote touch is kinda distracting and a little frustrating to use, but after changing the sensitivity level, it moves around a little better.
  • I do wish the infotainment system has Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. I may look into getting a module installed that supports AC and AA (I'm leaning towards Beat-Sonic, but still looking at GROM VL2, Carlinkit, and Road Top).
  • The stock audio system sounds nice, but I want more of a punch to it. I'm planning to install a subwoofer in the near future. I had some experience with installing a subwoofer, replacing stock speakers with JBL speakers, and installing a Pioneer double-din head unit that supports AC and AA for my Altima. But for this car, I want to keep the audio system as stock as possible, so I'll have to learn how to tap factory wires.
  • Finally, while I like the 17-inch rims, I may want to switch them out with the new ES 350 F-Sport rims in the future - perhaps when I need to get new tires. Having aftermarket rims may look cool, but having stock Lexus-branded rims will look even better.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to navigating and lurking around here!

Default 72k miles ES300h 2013 - First time Lexus Owner

Hi.

Just purchased a new to me ES300h in Puerto Rico. Obsidian paint with black leather. I’m guessing is one of the most basic trims as the center screen only shows radio and temperature but no navigation or the other fancy stuff.

Looking forward to all the tips and tricks I can learn as well of the things I should worry about... hopefully the car will be good for many years.

Love the Ferrari of Puerto Rico behind the car, plus the Maserati dealer next door!

Long time member in the 2006 Lexus LS430 section. Unfortunately my LS430 did not recover from the accident. On Saturday I picked this 2017 ES350 almost fully loaded with only 26,000 miles. Dodger Stadium in the background

Thanks! Lol, that's not a ball, it's one of those gutter guards.

Really nice. I have the exact car only mine has the parchment interior. That white is hands down the nicest color of any manufacturer. Audi, BMW, Mercedes. Especially when I park next to another white vehicle..

Thanks, agreed.... most of my previous cars were alpine white bmws. This is my first metallic or pearl white, really pops in the sun, love it especially with the black pano roof.

The *** end of the car is definitely my favorite not too fond of the front end, I have plans for it to make it better looking though.
