one question. what was the difference between what you paid for it Out the door and what Lexus bought it back for? I guess what I'm asking is how did it cost you?

While I am certainly not thrilled with my ML radio, I am happy with every other aspect of this vehicle and would not give up my car because of the radio. For just a few hundred dollars, the problem can easily be fixed. I am sure Lexis will at some point take care of this issue. Why shouldn't they? And if they don't, I will take care of it myself.

For what it's worth, I record my own DVDs and they play extremely well through the ML system. While the issue is not resolved, this "Band-Aid" fix will hold me over until Lexis does the right thing.


Obviously not everyone likes or appreciates Lexus vehicles and the full Lexis experience.. ICnothing, good luck!

Turning a car over because of the rear speaker is about the dumbest thing I've heard.....not that my experience with Audi didn't result in a lose.....but this takes the cake.

Unfortunately, I cannot disclose financial information, but coach1 it was not a dumb decision do you think I would of lost money really.....before you comment know the facts, also calling someone dumb is pretty low when you do not have the facts, at least a fought for what i believed and prevailed and could not of been happier with the deal. You call it dumb i call it being on top of the game.I have not decided which vehicle to purchase yet will drive the wife's and son's vehicles for now. Cheers to all and good luck.

Hey Robdog any news on a resolution. Lexus contacted me yesterday and want to re-look at my concern and leave my vehicle at the shop they are Bringing someone in to see if he can pinpoint the issue. My vehicle is going in on Thursday. the sub blew that is the other reason it needs to go in.

Unfortunately they didn't call me Friday, I was told either Friday or Monday. After speaking with one of the ML people earlier in the week I am very confident they will release a fix, they understand any short term fix that is released has to remove the distortion. If the bass is too low then a long term fix will replace the sub system all together. That will take months to release.

So Monday afternoon ill post what they said. I guess the harman shop is in Michigan, so I should get a call before they hit 5pm.

Sorry to hear about your sub.

One thing to note, if you call lexus in torrance and file a complaint they might offer you lexus credit as an apology. They gave me $350 to be used for service or merchandise.

update: still nothing today. I did get an email from ML. My contact didn't have feedback from the team yet, I guess they needed one more day. tonight or tomorrow morning they will release the report out to him and he will call me with the news. I will post the feedback. basically out of this we should know what and when to expect out of Lexus in regards to our issue with distortion.

November 30 2012 I purchased a 2013 ES300h with Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound Audio System, 15-speaker 835-watt at less than 0.1% THD, 20-20,000 Hz . The system is not working well. After 3 weeks of waiting for a new amplifier, it finally arrived. They installed the new amplifier and it did it sounded just as bad.
Based on what I am reading here, I will press on.

What is its performance range?
