Default semi- aniline seats

Anyone in the NY nj or ct area on this forum have an es350 or es300h with the semi aniline seats included in the ul package? I am in need to test them I just want to sit in them for 2 min. I know this sounds absurd but Lexus has been no help since none of the dealers have any. I appreciate any help and will meet you at your convience. Thank you

I cant really help you but IMO the semi analine seats are a bit overrated. They dont really feel softer than my other Lexus vehicles (though I havent felt them back to back on a same model). Also I am told that they require much more attention in terms of keeping it in good condition because they are supposedly softer which is a downer for me since cleaning seats is not on my to do list very often. Also I find that only some of the seating surfaces are semi analine, not all so you are left with this two tone color if you get black leather. That said, I was forced into getting it because it is part of a package and I wanted the other things

So not as soft as the 2012 leather seats. Not even close?

I do not have a 2013. But my ES350 does not have the semi-aniline leather. My friend's does. There is a difference in the feel. His leather is a bit softer. I like it. It's not greatly softer. But you do notice it. There is more care involved with this leather. If you don't mind the more frequent cleaning and conditioning, it does have a very nice feel to it.

If you didn't know one from the other, you would not be able to differentiate them. The benefit of aniline leather is that it will age better, because it is dyed right through, such that any marks and scratches over time will show the same colour; while scratches on regular leather will be a lot more evident as the leather is surface-dyed only.

Not any 2013 UL,s available in Pa or New Jersey. I had to settle for luxury package.

I have standard leather, not the semi aniline leather. My previous Lexus had semi aniline.

I'm not missing it. I'm preferring what I feel is better support in the seat. It also seams so much easier to look after as well. I was kind of impressed with the Nuluxe which felt better than the Nuluxe in the CT200h I sat in. The CT200h just felt plain hard - Benz hard. I was lucky, I got to sit in all three options for the ES.

I know Nuluxe is not leather, but dang, they are getting better with this stuff. If you did not tell your passenger it was not leather, I wonder if they would ever know?

I have tried semi aniline in my is350 2011 and it is much softer and the looks are better. My current es3502013 is not semi aniline . There are no advantages in my opinion to have semi Aniline since they are difficult to maintain and they also crease right away depending on who sits on them andhow heavy ur occupant is. The nu luxe of the es350 is much easier and forever looks new.
My opinion

My understanding is that there are two key advantages to aniline leather: (a) it is softer: and (b) it is died right through as opposed to surface-died regular leather, such that a scratch will not show as much as in regular leather.
