Tracking your vehicle
I'm waiting for my ES300h to arrive at the dealer in the first week of November. I was told my car was due to get to the Long Beach port on October 19. I asked my sales rep for the name of the vessel and Googled it. I found this website http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ that tracks vessels and give status reports. The vessel my car was on is the "Century Leader No.3" and found that it did arrive at the port yesterday morning, stayed most of the day and left the port for a return trip to Japan.
From this point, my car is supposed to be loaded on a train on Oct.22 and arrive at the dealer on Nov.2. From this point I doubt if there is a way to track the location of my car, so I'll have to rely on my sales rep for updates. Tracking the vessel as it crosses the Pacific gives you something to do when you have insomnia at 4:00am thinking about your car.
