It's three and leather for me. Four spokes is to cumbersome in spirited driving. I also like the bumps that the IS wheel has at 10 and 2. Just wish the wheel was a bit thicker. Also, in the old days and still with non leather wrapped wheels, there are finger groves at the back of the wheel. I really like those, but no one does it anymore.

My ES has finger grooves in the wood portion of the wheel...

Yes, mine too, Steve ... But to say that the said finger grooves offer a better grip is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?

I currently drive a BMW 530xi and I love how my heated steering wheel gets warm around the entire circumference. I was disappointed when I test drove the ES and found out that only the leather parts are heated.

Interesting results. I'll admit I was expecting more people to prefer the leather for the way it feels when you drive and the temperature of leather in the winter and summer vs. wood. But I guess Lexus knows there customers.
