I've been reading about the Lexus Res + smartphone app that allows you to start your car remotely using a varity of smartphones. The distance reported is approx. 80 ft.
Naturally, a component needs to be installed by a local dealer.
Does anyone have any experience with Res +?

 

That is only on the rx 2013 for now. There's a thread about it in the rx sub forum. I'd like it to be on the ES as well, but they probably would make it available on the LS or GS before giving it to the "lowly" ES

Thanks very much for the feedback. I'd still like to hear about this ap in the event that it's ever offered for the ES.

 

But the app is only useful for those with an RX because there would be no purpose for an ES owner to install it. It would be as useful to an ES owner as a LS owner.

 

Understood. Again, just asking if anyone has had any experience with this app. We'll be replacing my wife's RAV4 soon and may very well purchase the RX.

 

Sorry for reviving this thread but do you guys think they'll eventually offer this feature to the ES? I was considering adding a remote starter to my order but having smartphone functionality sounds like it'll be better.
