Default Cars Power Button

I have the 300h and I was testing if the car "turns off" if the power button gets pressed accidently while driving. It does with a complete loss of steering. I did this at very low speeds. Is this a flaw with the new car? Anyone else experience this?

Don't you have to press and hold the button for 2 seconds or more to shut the car off while moving? And I would not expect a complete loss of steering but just more effort (maybe a lot more effort) to turn the steering wheel.

Hi Dave, I did not press and hold the button for 2 seconds. It was just a quick push of the button. It just seems odd that the car would shut down like that while in "drive".

My CT would not shut off until the brake pedal was depressed.
I haven't tried this with my ESh.

Yes, that doesn't seem to be the way it is intended to work and I would have it checked out.

Nope all cars will do that. New or old start button or key ignition it will tun off while in D.
