Default Question on possible HID upgrade

First of all I am not one of "those" people. I would NEVER install a HID kit into a reflector housing. I CANNOT stand that. I have installed them into my 2010 Maxima that came with projectors and standard bulbs and the cut off was pretty damn good. Nice and crisp. I just picked up a 2013 ES350 and got a pretty nice deal on one they had prepped for another buyer who could not pass a credit check. Car does not have HID option on it. Coming from owning BMW's those cars will throw a bulb out warning or error if you install LED or HID in place of halogen's. Do these cars run a check also? Should I just unplug the low beam bulb and see if I get an error? Anybody else install a H11 kit into there Halogen projector?

Nobody know if these cars do cold checks for the low beams?

Well since nobody knew and every search on the web brought me to my own thread I figured I would post. I installed a 35w DDM 6k H11 kit. Lit up perfect with a sharp cut off. No errors. The drivers side ballast I strapped to the frame rail. The passenger side I set it on top of the plastic Wind shield reservoir. I don't think it will be a problem but I will check on how hot the metal ballast gets. Auto feature works just like its suppose to. I'll keep an eye on it and post again after a few weeks.
