Iphone and Messages
I finally figured out from another thread how to get messages to work with the Iphone, but am realizing that only messages sent through regular MMS are showing up - the messages sent from another Iphone or Ipad that use the apple "Imessage" system don't show up - and if you ask the nav system to check for messages it says they can not be downloaded.
Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone figured out a workaround?
Appreciate any help or suggestions

iPhone 4S Not Getting Email?Messages
I cannot get the email or SMS messages to work with my iPhone 4S. I even did a full iPhone reset and restore. Deleted in the car and paired it up again. In the iPhone Bluetooth setting is set notifications to On.
The message button in the car's phone display is NOT shaded out, but when I press on it there are no messages or emails.
Followup:
I went to the dealer and the tech specialist could not get it to work either. Worked on it for 20 minutes. I deleted potential conflicting apps, and that did not work. Went into settings and turned off all notifications except for the bare Apple apps that came with the phone, and that did not work. He paired his iPhone and it worked fine but re-paired mine, nothing. After I left I pulled over and went into setting and turned back on some of the notifications, turned off the car, on again and for some reason the text messages started to work. No rhyme or reason. Texted the tech guy to let him know.
