I got 7.5% off MRSP for a fully loaded ES350 but that's in Canada.

I looked at the TL, Loaded Avalon, BMW 3, MB C class, infinity, etc and kept coming back to the Lexus.

I'm still debating between the 2 and can't make up my mind. This will be a treat for myself. My daily commute is not much and only drive long distances on weekend.
I have 75k on my 2002 Highlander so far.

Anyway, price might be a factor for my decision as well.
Best I got so far for Luxury package with Nav is 42k for the 300h and 40k for the 350.
I was hoping for a better deal, like 15% of MSRP but this seems to be what others are paying.

Q1- what is the acceptable mileage for a new car? I test drove one and was shocked that it had 150 miles already and that was the one the sales person was trying to sell me.

Q2- The 300h was nice to drive and had enough power which I liked, the only thing is the sound the car makes when you come to a complete stop, is this normal. Never driven a hybrid before but it was weird.

Q3- Can the side mirrors fold automatically? are they heated? Forgot to ask the sales person.

Q4- Saw few 350 with no navigation, just base, if you have one, do you regret not having the nav system? Do you like the fake leather seats? I thought they were comfortable but the real leather felt better.

Sorry for all the questions but just trying to get some info before I decide.

Cheers
Because someone posts they got 15% off list doesn't mean it's true. It's the internet.
Many deals you read here and other vehicle brand forums are just plain BS.

According to that funny State Farm TV ad, they can't say things that aren't true on the internet.

I agree that you should take things with a grain of salt.

I can tell you right now that the most I got get off my fathers car was about $1,800 The problem is the ES doesn't have much room for for price negotiating, as the price the dealer pays and we pay isn't that much apart. I would take the transfer car and see what they can add to it.

Right, and with no incentives its tough. I got 10% off my GS, but there were $2,000 in incentives at the time. The spread on an ES between invoice and MSRP is about $3,500. Then there's holdback, but 10% off a $43k ES would leave the dealer not making much if anything on the car. 15% is just not going to happen, that sort of deal happens on American trucks when they have absurd incentives.

Thank you all for replying back to my post.
Sorry for the late reply, got busy with work and did not have time to reply back to each one.

I'm in the home stretch right now. There has been a bit of back and forth about the numbers I was getting and what actually I was looking for. I think I will close the deal this weekend if everything goes all right.

I totally understand that I'm not getting 15% off MSRP and getting close to 10% on the hybrid is a good deal.
The 10% I was quoted first was for 350 and not 300h.

LexBob and Joeb, you guys made my day...I normally don't like commercials and don't watch TV that much, but at end of that commercial makes me laugh.

I will post again when I get my hands on the car and share my experience with all.
Cheers

I had the same issues, the % off the hybrid was much less than the gas only because of demand and they also didn't have what we wanted in stock so we took the best deal and have no regrets.

10% on either the hybrid or the gas model is an incredible deal, you could only get that deal in CA...

Traditionally the best deals in California have been at Toyota/Lexus dealers that have been in or near the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles.

Not true - at least when I purchased at the end of September (third quarter). I eventually purchased the car from the dealer closest to me on the California Central Coast - they met the lowest deal I could find after contacting virtually every dealer between us and LA. The best I could come up with (which I considered pretty good) was a discount of 6.5%!

I should have said - Not True - that one can get a 10% discount on the 300h (which is what I purchased) from a dealer in the LA area.

Now another CL member in another thread stated they got $4K off the MSRP in No. Cal. for his ES350, well below invoice based on KBB and Edmunds (excluding any holdbacks or dealer incentives). That was on Superbowl Sunday when there wasn't anybody in the showroom, so timing is everything. Now that's a good deal, at around 10% off. Not sure if you can get a deal like that on a ES300h.

Hard to get a good deal on a model that sells pretty fast.
