I've noticed after my 13 es sits over a long period of time shifting gears from P is very difficult. No matter how much I apply the brake shifting out of P takes a little muscle. Also when coming off the brake there is a funny noise almost a straining noise coming from the front left side of the vehicle. Anyone else experience these issues?

Are you parking on a steep incline? If so, you might want to engage your emergency brake before shifting to park.

Like the previous poster... If you want your car to last longer . Get into the habit of using your parking brake while parking on a incline or decline.

The correct procedure is. Press down on your brake. Shift to park. Press down on your parking brake lever and then let go of your brakes. It will also help your brakes last longer.

See if this makes shifting easier.
