What new feature would you like most in in the 2014 lexus ES350/300 - Corrected
#106
i just received an email yesterday from Lexus, stating that the voice command system is going to be updated to support Siri on all 2014 models. So that might be some improvement over the existing system i guess.

I'm guessing you don't own and android phone. I've had one for years and there aren't many apps that don't work well on all versions of android. Siri however only works on certain iphones. Google maps works great on all android phones that I've ever owned.

I owned an Android phone for about a month and returned it. I'm just offering a possible reason why Lexus has focused on Apple and not Android.

I'm curious for people who voted here, what would your top 3 items be? Or if you were to prioritize them what would be the order?
1 I'd buy one this year if they just improved the GPS (by about 5 years worth of current tech including destination in motion, option for touch input, nav from android and iphone)
Things I'd like after that (but aren't holding me back from buying)
2 All leather steering wheel
3 Sunglass holder
4 Cooled cup holder
5 Truly cooled seats
6 LED clock (not analog)
7 Full AC and windows remote
8 Improve the premium sound system (I put a custom sound system in my 93 Honda civic that sounds 2x as good as the ML.
9 Folding mirrors
10 Blind spot assist
11 LED turn signals
12 Padded doors (this is supposed to be a luxury car isn't it?)

I have seen this thread grow over time and it makes little sense to me. Is it a ***** session for owners of 2013's or constructive information to future buyers? If you own a 2013 are you curiously considering trading it in on a 2014 if all the above feature improvements are met? Personally I'm very satisfied with my choice with the 2013 and accept some of it's short-comings, adjusted to it's design. There is nothing on this list that would cause me to trade-up. There are things on the list that would improve the design, but, accept that which you can not change.

I would like to buy a new ES300h but won't buy one unless my current car is stolen or totaled. I would however, buy one today IF it had a better GPS - that is how strongly I feel about it. I'm sure there are many minor improvements they could make without significantly changing the price of the vehicle others feel strongly about. I posted this so others could easily list what features they'd like changed (there are choices I wouldn't want but some do). Things like putting in a 700 HP engine or a AI that drives the car for you would be too expensive and so things like that are not listed. These are tweaks they could add quite easily that are found in cars far less expensive than the ES so it would be nice if they were available in this mid range luxury car.
It would be great if employees at Lexus read threads like this and considered revising their vehicles but I realize that is an unlikely thing. I do however subscribe to other boards where the manufacturers actually do read threads like this and even provide feedback.

....Fare enough. I'm all for suggesting improvements to the manufacture and informing/pointing-out to future buyers, however, has this gone in a different direction....only my opinion....116 responses of constructive ???

2014 Suggestions
I think this thread is great, it has allowed everyone to suggest the features that are important to them and allows the rest of us to consider options and matters that we were not fully aware of for our next purchase. Also, there is a strong chance that Lexus follows this and other websites.
