As unfortunate as it is, the compass in the rear view mirror, sunglass holder and drivers seat only memory have been in place for at least four model years now. After 2 ES350's (I don't own one anymore) none of these things would be a deal breaker for me. Nice to have, but not a need to have.
I had an '07 and then a '10 ES and over six years with the two cars never had to return to the dealer for any warranty or service bulletin work. That's what I remember most about the cars. I have '13 Audi now which we like, but my fingers are crossed when it comes to reliability.

Hey LexBob I hope you have the the luck as I did with Audi, had 2 Audi's and never had any issues and put over 160,000 miles on each one. I guess I was spoiled with Audi but now I can say drove a Lexus and would not return.

Thats what you get when you start spending $50k, $60k, $70k+ not only with Lexus, but with other brands. If you have never experienced that, then you don't know what you're missing...and thus don't miss it.

Mine has memory for 3 passengers, same as the driver.

I'd much rather have the sunglass holder. I curse the lack of a sunglass holder every day when I'm digging my sunglasses out of the console while trying not to drive up on the sidewalk...when I used to just reach up and get them out of the holder. I never thought my 2010 ES had poor lighting...
Even on the new console though, if the SOS button were in that big blank space between the phone mic and the light controls, and the console were moved back 1.5 inches (theres room), they could have had a sunglass holder. On my GS its got even more space. The SOS button on the GS looks stupid in this big open space....
I don't understand their war on sunglass holders.

My experience with the the numerous Acura MDXs was that they rode pretty firm, and were actually very loud as well didn't have as quality materials as my lexus of around the same age. I doubt that the new ES350 is louder and more uncomfortable then an 11 year old MDX, but thats just my experience.
