Hey so I find that every-time I close the door it makes a loud noise almost like a hollow sound from the door. I don't slam it hard, does anyone else have that problem. I will try to make a video tomorrow and post it up.

I think it is because Lexus is significantly lighter, thanks to extensive use of aluminum and various grades of steel, yes this improves gas Mileage

My ES door closing sounds every bit as solid as my 2006 GS AWD and my previous LS.

I have a 2013 ES 300h and yes I think the doors sound hollow when closing them. They feel almost "non Lexus". But I think it is Lexus lightening up the car to get the MPG's.. I am lucky enough to get 37.1 avg on the car's computer, but it equates to 35.6 when dividing miles driven by gallons of gas to fill it..

The weight difference between 2012 es 350 and 2013 is 57 lbs, and is a bit longer.

Having the windows rolled down or other doors open changes how the door sounds/shuts. It does require a little more force to close when everything is sealed up but it does sound more satisfying.

I thought it was just me. I hear a sound to. It's a hollow sound and something it sounds like I have a loose nut or something in both doors when I close it.
