Default Odd heat coming from headliner

Sorry for this off the wall noob question, but I'm new to Lexus and not sure if this is an expected oddity. When the sun is out, I feel the headliner in my ES300h get so uncomfortably warm that it literally feels like the heat is on at the top of my head. I'm not exaggerating and it's not something that I'm imagining. I had a friend drive the car and she thought that I put the heat on as a joke. I don't feel it at night, so I'm attributing it to the sun. I felt it again today, the sun is out but it's only 76 degrees. Has anybody else experienced this? The only explanation is that it literally doesn't have any insualtion between the metal and headliner.

Thanks for any input you guys have...

I don't feel any heat coming from my headliner. Not sure if having the glass roof helps this, though.

Based on what I feel, I would think it would be worse. My glass for the sunroof is so hot that a child could literally get burned. I've had plenty of cars with sunroofs and this is definitely out of character. I've even moved my seat lower because my forehead and top of my head feel significantly warmer (like the heat is on) and this occurs even after the AC is running in the car.
