Maintenance Required light

The safety warnings must be carried with the vehicle, so every driver can read them before operating the vehicle. Those two and half pounds of paper must be read by each parking valet before he/she may move your car safely.
The other few pages, the ones that explain how to actually use the equipment, don't really weigh very much. So any fuel savings would be minimal.

Lead Lap
This is how I did it, and it worked for me. I posted it on another site. It is essentially what Indy77 said.
While the car was running, I pressed the odometer button to display Trip A, then kept holding it, turned off the car, then pressed start twice without pressing the brake, which does not start the car but just puts it in accessory mode. As I kept holding it, I saw 4 dashes (----) go down to none, then a series of zeros display till once again Trip A mileage showed. It was successfully re-set and the maintenance reminder was gone.
