Battery tender on 300h?
I use a CTEK battery maintainer on my other, non-hybrid, vehicle when not driven for several weeks. I just got my 2013 ESh, and am trying to figure a way to do the same. Problem is, the trunk should remain open during charging, to reduce hydrogen build-up...BUT, the trunk light stays on, and there seems to be no switch to turn it off...I couldn't find the proper fuse to pull...how about just removing the light bulb? On my previous Prius and CT200h, there was a battery connection in the engine compartment, making the procedure very easy. Any ideas?

I would guess that the trunk light will automatically turn off after a set amount of time, even if left open. This is based on the fact that if you leave a cabin light on inside, the car will shut it off automatically after some time. I found this out by starting up the engine and having the map light come on, basically letting me know someone left it on previously, but that the car had shut it off...

I too think that your trunk light will go off after a certain time period. I left my trunk open after bringing home take out yesterday (Chinese) and when I checked on it a few hours later the light was off. I have a ES 350 but would expect the same from a ES300H.
