300H breaking traction theory?
I occasionally experience a weird sensation in my front end. While accelerating at a moderate speed ( 0-to 35 ) in internal combustion engine mode, the front end starts to vibrate or chug until I take my foot off the gas and then all is OK.
Very difficult for the tech to replicate, since it only happens occasionally
I am told that it may be due to going over a bumpy pavement and one front end wheel will lose traction, causing the vibration, until the I lift my foot off the gas pedal , and both wheels then resume traction.
Anybody have this experience or familiar with this “braking traction” theory?
Thanks, Frank

Hi Frank. Normally, I'd say it may be due to the ICE shutting down and the traction motor taking over. However, based in your description, it may be either/or both the ICE and traction is shutting down as your accel to speed. It could be the transition of the two drives. You sometimes can feel a little shutter when this happens and is normal.
