One of my complaints with the Lexus GPS was that it wasn't telling me which side of the road addresses were on, but lately it seems to be doing that. I'm not aware of any GPS updates that my dealer applied, and I haven't done any scientific experiments where I know of a specific address that wasn't telling me the side of the road that now does, but I'm curious to hear other people's experiences on the GPS telling you the side of the road for a specific destination.

I feel your pain as I like the on the left/on the right directions.

I found out if you add a destination in the car, you get tohese directions. If you add the destination from a pc, phone etc., no such directions. I don't now why this is.

Interesting-

A lot of my addresses are added via Destination Assist, and now that you mention it, I think that these addresses don't offer the left/right, whereas adding manually does indeed return the left/right. So strange - you'd think that the DA addresses would be even more precise. Thanks!

I called DA help # a couple of years ago on this, and they didn't have an answer.

I use Bing to add destinations inside the car and I have left/right side of the road + phone # metadata for each address.

When I would use Destination Assist, I would have the phone number and data, but not the left/right side of the road announcement.

I neglected to mention that I have a 2013 Audi and It does the same thing.

I'm guessing that for some reason It has something to do with the way the destination is received by the head unit.

I have to be honest, I would have sworn that I get left and right for all, but it seems like there may have been a time or two that I did not. I will try both moth methods of input and report back.
