I have a ES350 2014. With greater than 1000 contacts in my phone, I breed to manually enter the contacts I need in my car. How to I enter and add to address book manually?

Well first, I would attempt to transfer the contacts electronically from your smartphone to the car. If that is not possible I believe that you can enter numbers manually although I have never done it. To enter over 1000 phone numbers and names manually is quite a job. You should get your manual out and check to see what is going on with your phone and how to manually enter numbers.

You can electronically transfer all numbers and then manually delete unwanted ones.

I believe that you cannot store more than 1000 numbers and at least on my 2013 ES 300h, you cannot manually input numbers into your phone directory; only on a one time basis for that particular call.

I believe before the 2013 models, you were able to input numbers manually into the phone book, but that went by the wayside with "progress."

Also, if you use the Google phone book and have an android phone and you do not find a particular number that is on your phone, it could be because the Google entry is "linked" in the Google Contacts. If you unlink the entry, it will upload. I found this out the hard way and several hours of frustration with Lexus tech support.

My wife has a 300h 2014 and cannot enter any contacts manually. I have a CT200h 2014 and can do that directly from my Call History. Neither of us have transferred our contacts from our Android phones because each of us has well over a 1000 contacts. Is the software in her 300h 2014 really that different? I have tried it in her car and cannot do it from her Call History.
