Noticed the 2015 Camry is getting a significant mid-cycle refresh. Any chances that will happen to the 2015 ES line? Or is the ES car so decoupled from the Camry now (and more aligned to the Avalon) that there is no correlation?

 

ES now on Avalon platform. It is my understanding that the Camry refresh is a response to competition, principally Hyundai, Honda and Kia.

 

Probably a refresh on the '16 model if the same time period as the new gen '07 and refresh in '10.

That sounds about right.

 

Camry is looking Lexus like now that it has a "spindle" grille too. Sheesh. No differentiation as usual for Toyota products.

 

No need to worry about the Lexus getting a refresh that will make it look like the 2014.5 Camry. A sneak preview of what the ES will look like after it gets its mid-cycle refresh reveals that it will look like this.

 

How do you think the Aston Martin and Jaguar folks feel with the Ford Fusion and Taurus and Lincoln products?
