Actually the trunk liner I had was neither Toyota or Weathertech. It was more or less a clear rubber/vinyl liner laser cut to the same dimensions as the carpet liner and did not have any lip to contain a spill. I got it off ebay sometime back in 2008 or so for my 2009 TCH along with similar mats for the interior carpets. I wonder if that trunk mat (for 2009 TCH) would be the same anyway since they did change the body some in 2012.

I've had the same problem with my GS and replaced the floor mats after a year. The new mats started to show the same wear after another year, and these were OEM from the dealer. I ended up getting all season rubber mats, and also use them on my ES 300h. They're good for wear and keeping the rest of the carpeting clean since I've got the parchment interior, particularly with light weather.

To each his own.....
I disagree, I think the black contrast over the tan makes it look richer

yep thats the same setup i have! Car is obsidian/ cashmere. I think the black floor liners help to balance out the cashmere interior, as they match the dash, center console, and rear deck. Also purchased the weathertech trunk liner.

They look almost as good as the all season mats from the Lexus dealer. Those mats have the Lexus ES logo on them . And I agree, regardless of WeatherTech or Lexus, the black mats adds a nice look to the Parchment carpet and interior.

One thing I've never understood is why Lexus stopped weaving heel pads into their drivers side mats. Both of my dad's LS's had heel pads in the mats:

This kepis the mats newer looking longer.

After reading your post Art, I checked out the Lexus all season mats with the ES logo. Nice, so I ordered them for my Parchment interior.

Bob- I think you'll like them. Here's a picture of mine I posted in a old thread. A nice color combo and contrast to the parchment interior. And only the Lexus ES logo on the mats.

When the floor mat wears out and starts looking ratty, many Lexus owners will buy new floor mats. With the heel pad, the did not sell very many replacement floor mats. There is lots of markup in floor mats...

I wonder if they make an adhesive patch since the wear spot is usually just the right foot heal. Kind of like the old iron on knee patches for your toughskins as a kid.

I guess you can try to iron one on, especially if it's worn.

If anyone is looking to get a new set, I have a set of mint mats in black over in the classifieds. These mats have never seen a shoe.
