Save your $$, theres no reason to spend the extra money on Michelins. Conti's outperform them in every category.

I know that people on this board have a particular love affair with Michelin tires, but there are a number of alternatives that will perform as well as the Michelin's, that will wear better, and that will be less expensive to start with.
With my previous ES, when my second set of Michelins wore out (too fast), I bought a set of Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring tires. Not only did I see no difference at all with regard to noise, ride quality, or vehicle handling, but the Goodyear's, which are V-speed rated and have a wear rating of 640 and which come with a 70,000 mile limited warranty, gave me exceptional wear performance. When I sold the vehicle, I had about 50,000 miles on the tires, and they still had about 35% of their usable tread left. I'm sure that a big part of the long tread life is due to the fact that they start with 12/32 of an inch of tread (compared to the 9/32 on the Michelins). And the set of 4 cost me about $250 less than it would have cost me to buy another set of the Michelins. When the Michelins wear out on my current ES, my plan is to replace them with the Goodyears.

According to Consumer Reports in their 2014 auto issue, the top rated all-season tires in order are:
H Rated: Michelin Primacy MXV4, Continental PureContact and Nexen CP672
V Rated: Continental PureContact, Pirelli P7 Cinturato and Michelin Primacy MXV4

I have the Primacy MXV4s on a 2000 Avalon. theres absolutely nothing special about them. they are not worth the cost at all. not trying to bash on Michelins, don't get me wrong but the only positive quality they have is great NVH levels. Every other aspect they are average. the conti's however, offer exceptional levels of wet/snow traction for an all season tire. MIchelins cannot touch the Conti's when it comes to inclement weather..

Nothing showing for LRR. 10/12 build date. Happy with the tire's handling and quietness.

I believe that all of the ES vehicles, both ES350 and ES300h, that are equipped with Michelin tires do, in fact, come with the V-rated Primacy MXV4 tires.
