Default whining/whirring noise

I've got 2013 es 350 with 10,000 miles on now. I have recently noticed that there was whining/whirring noise coming from the engine(I guess) while accelerating up to 45 mph. It seems that the noise goes along with the RPM since it gets louder when accelerating. It makes same noise when decelerating from 30 mph and it goes away when the car stops. I am wondering if this is normal that people experience on 2013+ es 350. A friend of mine drove the car once before but did not hear anything until I told him about the noise, so I guess it is not very noticeable to some people. At the 10,000 miles check up at the dealer, I mentioned about it and they said they did not hear anything, but I know for sure there is whirring/whining noise.

Does anyone have this and know why?

Yeah. I got it. Not sure it happens or as loud on all cars. I've driven other 2013 es350s like mine and don't hear it.
I've had it checked on every service with Lexus saying nothing found. I wish it could be addressed. It really destroys the enjoyment of slow speed driving. I just crank up the tunes!
Good to know someone knows what it is. Lexus surely didn't. Thanks Max07

I question whether you "got it", even if it were spelled right.

I just made an appointment with the dealer to have them take a look at it. I will mention about the flux capacitor engaging and disengaging and see if they can do something on that to get rid of the noise. Hopefully they can fix this issue. I will keep you posted on this after visiting the dealer. The appt is on 7/12.

Please do update us on what they find. I would also like to get this fixed.
I did have 1 service tech during a service acknowledge the sound but said it was normal.
Here is another post which talked about the same issue.

I'd be interested in knowing what a flux capacitor is. Never heard of one on a car before,

There isn't a flux capacitor on your Lexus or any other Lexus. There is one, however, on the Delorean in the movie "Back to the future". If you buy one and install it on your Lexus, you may go back to 1979 and buy some land or invest in Microsoft.

You may want to consider canceling this appointment...I don't think that the flux capacitor is covered under warranty.

After going over the the couple of guys' replies, I noticed the flux capacitor was a joke. Of course I did not mention it at the dealer. Not a good news from the dealer though... they did not find out what it was. They said everything was normal and there was no whirring noise. At the dealer, I met a guy who owned 2013 ES who came there for a different problem, passenger seat rattle. He said he had the same type of whirring noise but he thought it was part of the engine sound which did not bother him much. I guess this whirring sounds normal to some people, while it is annoying to some people like me. I gotta learn to live with this I guess.

I also noticed the whining noise on my 2013 ES350 with 12000.
I would like to know if it is normal or sign for engine failure down the road.

I think you better check your flux capacity. Possible failure down the road. .
