Tire Swap - 2014 ES 350 225/45/18
I'm debating swapping my 18" 225/45/18 Bridgestone tires for Pirelli P7 All Season Plus or Michelin Premier A/S or Michelin Primacy MXV4 or Continental PureContact. Any thoughts on any one or all of these? Ride comfort is my most important concern. Performance yes, but it not as important. Any comments are appreciated.

This issues has been debated ad infinitum on this site. There are people in all camps - some will tell you to get the Michelins (I'm of that persuasion, having Michelins on my UL with 18" wheels, and love them), Other will tell you that the tire size is most important. Yet others will tell you that the Michelins wear too quickly. Some love their Bridgestones. And so it goes. So, here we go again . . .

I can only tell you that 2 of the last 3 vehicles i've purchased came with Bridgestone Turanza's on them. The first car was an 07 Avalon... hated those tires and I felt they had a rough ride to them... as soon as they were significantly worn, I went to Michelin tires...nice smooth ride. My second experience with Bridgestone tires ( also Turanza's ) came on my Lexus... again, not crazy about the ride and will certainly not go back to them when these wear out.. probably another set of Michelin tires.. however I would also consider Toyo's and Firestone... I've had good luck with both of those brands in the past.

I went with the Pirelli P7 All Season Plus tires. Very quiet and nice smooth ride for 18" tires. I've have Michelins in the past. No regrets on the Pierlli tires, so far!

Have you notice that the Michelin is wider than the Turanza on both 225/45? I noticed this because I have both right now on two different car. I like the Michelin better. The Turanza seems like you're over-steer.
