ES 300h Mark Levinson - A/V Input with Blue Screen and other questions
Hey all,
New owner here...
Anyone know what's up with the A/V input that's listed under sources? Not the aux in, the a/v where it shows a blue screen as if it's an RCA connection.
Also, the GPS is set to Volume 7 but it's barely useable when music or podcasts are being played from my phone over usb. It does not pause or mute or duck the audio at all. Weird. It does it for voice commands I input. Doesn't seem to make sense.

For the A/V, see this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...t-non-nav.html
Here is a YouTube video, different Lexus model but same input.

Ahhhh, thank you. I'm actually familiar with 3-pin 3.5mm video cables, I just didn't think that port was more than just audio.
So a 3 pin cable can be used for video and the source set to A/V or a two pin stereo cable can be used for audio and the source set to AUX? I will definitely test that out.
I'm also wondering if any has had luck with particular video formats from USB. I'm going to try some of my MP4s and see if they play.
I researched bypassing by the parking brake but gave up when I saw either $250 cost for parts or splicing factory wires. If anything new is out that I'm unaware of by simply searching, please let me know.
Thanks.

Not that I am aware of for the 2013 and a search of the 900+ page manual does not say anything about playing video from an external source. My 2015 does mention it in the quick guide.
This is from the 2015 ES Manual
