I have a 2016 ES.. and one the open windows and sunroof with long remote press, only the windows go down i think half way, sunroof does NOT... On lane change auto flash.. I set mine at 6 flashes, which you didnt mention.. Id have to ck again but I dont recall having the ability to turn off Eco Drive Indicator...

 

Thanks, but the debug data you requested was for the "long-press on key fob" NOT opening the sunroof, just the windows.

 

Yes, we're going to check that as well. I know on some models there's a separate setting for the sunroof, which we don't support yet, but we're hoping to add in the future. We'll check your data in particular and let you know whether that's the case for your car. We'll reply by email. Thanks.

 

Hi, thanks for sending your reports. We've looked at the data and determined that there are no further configurable settings that the car offers, related to the sunroof opening along with the windows. The setting in Carista that's called "Open windows and sunroof via long-press on remote" is a general setting that enables this feature of opening stuff via the remote; but from there on, which particular parts are opened depends on the car, and it seems like on the ES, it just doesn't open the sunroof and that's that. If a dealer tells you they can change that, I'd be very surprised (unless there's some non-OBD way of doing it via a series of button/stalk presses on the car itself). I'm sorry to disappoint, but it seems like that's just the way the car is.

If anyone here has info to the contrary (e.g. a dealer was able to make the sunroof open via the remote for them), please let us know and we'll ask you to send us data from your vehicle, so we can compare and see what's been activated. Thanks very much.

 

On a 2013, a long press on the smartkey "unlock" will lower all four windows and open the sunroof.

 

Interesting! The data I was looking for was also form a 2013 ES350 (US model).

Understand, my car isn't special; I believe that ALL 2013's are programmed for this. I used the Carista app to change my dealer only settings a long time ago. 3+ years or whenever Carista became available... I will give this a try and let you know how I make out. Be advised that I needed tutoring on how to set a VCR's flashing time...LOL

Well, I just re-confirmed on my 2013 that a long press does open all 4 windows but does NOT open the sunroof. Even held it down several extra seconds after the windows were fully down to see if opening the sunroof was something that happened after the windows, but no.

 

Just double checked this feature on my car. A long press - hold down the unlock button - lowers all 4 windows and opens the sun roof. 2013 ES350 Luxury edition purchased in September of 2012.

 

I can confirm bc6152 claim that a long press opens all my windows and sunroof. Keep in mind, it's been awhile since I used this feature. I had the dealership program it several years ago. My only gripe is that you can't do a long press to close everything. I was able to open and close windows and sunroof in my Audi. I used this feature a lot when I had the Audi...not so much on the Lexus. I've maybe used it 3x on the Lexus and that includes 1x by accident.

 

Strange that mine won't open the sunroof. It's a '13 ES350 UL too, and I've verified in the Carista options that I have the "Open windows and sunroof via long press on remote" set to ON. I do have the key version "Open windows and sunroof by holding key in doorlock" and the matching "Close windows..." set to OFF... wonder if that's the problem.

 

You might be on to something with that. I'd try changing that setting to "ON" and see what happens. The 2013's do not have the "close" feature as Kenny says.
