Not sure about reverse lights in bright sun, I can't see 'em from up front Most cars' reverse lights are up optimized for bulbs so the light throw with LEDs may not be optimal. I've seen the new C class Benz with LED reverse lights and they're mounted low down, almost near the bumper.
As for what the interior ambience looks like, it can look colder than with filament bulbs. See my pic below with 5000 K LEDs. You might have to look for yellowish 3000+ K LEDs if you want a warm look but I don't know where to get those.
