I was using brand X (Costco) gas in my Lexus. Since this is top tier gas, I thought it was all good. Oh contraire. My Lexus wasn't being cooperative and often locked me out when I didn't bring my fob.
My wife told me to go to Tiffany's and use their gas. She's all good now and treats me well

I heard the best gas is Techron. I usually just buy 15 bottles and put it into my gas tank and keep a few extra bottles in the trunk in case I run out of techron. I heard techron gas keeps your fuel system clean

actual call my old boss got from his wife.
>Honey, I think I broke my car.
>he says: oh, what happened.
>she says: well, I was at the gas station and I wanted to put some oil in the engine so I opened the cap at the front and this guy yelled at me to stop, but he was a **** so I ignored him and put the oil in.
>he says:ok, what cap ..
>she says: then he got all angry and I got scared so yelled at him and he left.
>she says: so, after that I wanted to check the water in the engine and I couldn't see any so I added more water to the engine.
>he says something like: um .. honey .. this ... (doesn't sound good)
>she says: well, I was driving home and the car was making funny sounds so I stopped to check the engine I thought I left the cap off and it turns out I had but I can't find the engine's water cap and there's steam coming out the engine now and it's really really hot.
>(he face palmed about this point),
>she says: so, I called the AA and the guy says the engine has too much water in it, and the radiator has oil in it and I'm not sure what those things are but I think he's just trying to get me to take the car to one of his mate to scam me.
>(my boss sits down).
>he says:.. that car's only a year old,
>she says: I know, so it shouldn't be having these problems right ? I mean, it's probably faulty.

Hi. I recently got a check engine light because my muffler was bad. I removed my muffler and the light is still on and my car is really loud now. Anyone know why it's still on and really loud now?

It's a check engine light, not a check muffler light You should ask your dealer to remove the engine and have it properly checked using OBD equipment, EPA, TASCAM, all that. Then you should have it balanced, ported, blueprinted and detailed before reinstalling. Don't forget to use the best cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil if you want to be environmentally friendly.

So, a few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage.
And a blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten cap....
We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred-ten?'
She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..'
She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there.
The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like.
She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car?'
She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.'

Not car related but this thread reminds me of my time in the Air Force when ol butter bars asked me to get 100ft of flight line. Couldn't ever find any. Supply was completely sold out. I guess that's why he was still butter bars.
