I'm considering replacing with a '16 RC350, but I'm very displeased with two things about this car. The first, is dismal mileage figures reported (!8-22 mph), and the 2nd is the CT200h-like dash and console, somewhat cheapoid. Opinions?

The dash is not like the CT, its the same dash as in the IS. Quality is much better than the CT dash, a little cheaper in places than say a GS, but IMHO better than an ES.

So I guess space isn't really important...the fuel economy is probably not going to be good because the performance and growl of the engine is going to make you want to drive more aggressively. Of course you might be able to get better fuel figures depending on your driving style, but don't expect anything over 28 mpg or figures near your ES300h.

The dash is definitely not like a CT200h; quality of materials is much better in the RC and the design is more pleasing than the CT. I would even say the interior of the RC has better quality materials than the ES, especially on the doors and console.

Recently I got an email from Lexus offering to pay off the last three mos. of my lease if I took delivery of another Lexus. Well, I revisited the above issue, drove one and negotiated. The result is I take delivery of a new white with red interior '15 RC350 F-sport tomorrow. Gas mileage be d*mned.

Thanks guys. It should be fun, but, for many reasons, I'll miss my ES300h. It's still a fine fine car, and those who have one should be very pleased.

Congrats! I'm sure you will enjoy that. I guess you'll have to change your signature line now as you move on to another forum. Best wishes.

UPDATE: Didn't take delivery of the RC yesterday as anticipated. The delay is to swap the Bridgestone summer tires out for all-season Michelins. Hopefully this will come to fruition by mid-week.

Good decision, and should be worth the wait.

Just picked up our ES yesterday and it has Bridgestones. But since its not a sports car, they are all seasons Loud as all get out, I might be asking my dealer to swap them after the fact (put a whopping 14 miles on them)

As we were waiting for our car, they had to pull something out of the showroom which involved moving an RC-F. If my wife wasnt standing there with me, I woulda bought the thing on the spot.

V8 engine and all!

Yeah the Bridgestones are terrible tires. I have them on the LS, they won't be on there long.

I had the opportunity to drive the RC (radical coupe) on a track at a Lexus event in NJ. It was a thrilling drive and the car is very fast and responsive. Forget about the smooth as butter ride in the 350... Good Luck with your new car and let us know how you like it.
