Pretty sure they'll still have Japan built ES's coming in to supplement the US built versions, like Honda does. Also, the 300H will all be built in Japan.

It shows their goal is 50k ES350's being built there. At least when they made the announcement. LINK

They have to add the paint protection film and window tint. Super Excited.

Kent Patterson at Lexus at Dominion (San Antonio) did everything via the phone. He said the car is in transit, getting weighed, ect, whatever that means, lol. Awesome guy!
Congrats

My sister bought an atomic silver ES from the Dominion dealer in March. They were giving out 2yr/24k maintenance as a grand opening deal. The first 2, 5k and 10k are included from Lexus, so Dominion was adding the 15k and 20k on top of it. Might ask about it. And free carwashes for 2 years too. Enjoy the new ride!

Thanks, salesman said I get 20K in maintenance. I'm assuming that equates to 2 free oil changes and 2 free tire rotations.

I go in today to drop off the trade, they are giving me a loaner until the vehicle comes in. Hopefully this Sat or Mon. I will hopefully know more today but the drivers don't tend to tell dealers until the day they get there.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't give them my trade-in until I actually saw the new car. I have some trust issues with car salesman.

+1

I was thinking the same thing. While the odds are that everything will work out fine, if there was something wrong with the new vehicle, if it wasn't equipped as expected, if something was awry with the paperwork, etc., after the dealership has taken possession of the trade in, sorting things out could be much more difficult, and any leverage that the customer might have in sorting things out is significantly reduced.

I agree 100%. No trade until I take delivery of the new car.

I did order a car one time and have it show up with the wrong interior color. It does happen.

Don't give up your 2013 Lexus until you get the new one. I gave up my trade and found the new car with an overhead cable laying on the (dented) hood. I got screwed...

I just would not do that - it sounds like an advancement on the old give us your keys so we can appraise your car while we talk deal and then they have a very hard time locating your keys when you want to leave. Some dealers also want to give you a car to drive to lessen the chance that you will change your mind. I just can't think of a good reason for the dealer to want your trade that badly. Good luck with this.
