ES350 TPMS Operation

ES350 TPMS Operation
Does anyone know the logic behind the tire pressure monitoring system? We've had a cold snap this week and I'm getting a low pressure indication (amber color) on the display. It also displays a 31 to indicate the pressure, but stays amber even when the pressure increases after tire warm up. Yesterday afternoon it stayed amber after reaching 33, which was 1 ppi below the other 3? Does it alert on percentage drop from normal or at a finite number and below?

Hi. Try resetting the tpms. Push the start button twice, all dash lights come on, then press the reset button under the dash on your left right next to the diagnostic plug until the low pressure icon begins to flash, then wait about a minute and then press the start button to off. Make sure you do not start the car! When your done, go for a short ride and check the reading on the dash. All this is in your Owner's Manual!
Good luck.
Good luck.

I've noticed the same thing. The ES TPMS seems to be overly sensitive to even slight changes. While the light is annoying I've also noticed that it will reset itself (providing PSI has been checked and readjusted) once the car is shut down and turned back on. Otherwise try the suggestion autotech13 mentioned.
