Another thing that isn't clear to me is, is the leather on the Ultra Luxury the same as the Premium and Luxury packages. They are all described as perforated leather. Any thoughts on how important this is to enjoyment or resale value?
Ken, what has your experience been with the glass roof? I've read about the potential noise, but I can't imagine it is a fault found on all cars.

Remember you can get the upgraded leather without the UL package. I got 3 items from the UL package without getting the package. One of them was the upgraded leather.

When you state "upgraded leather", are you referring to the semi-aniline with the power cushion extender? I don't see that as being an option, just standard on the UL.

You have to get the UL to get the semi-aniline leather.

No, I just checked my window sticker and it's not the semi-aniline leather. I'm actually not even sure what that looks like.

An unexpected end to this thread folks - Lexus were unable to order me a car that I spec'd on the website. I followed their instructions to upgrade to the UL package for the semi aniline leather etc and after 3 weeks of reforwarding links to then the manager came back to me and said he still couldn't order the second car I had built online but he would be willing to show me what he could get me if I came into the showroom.
In the end I had enough and picked up a 2013 GS F-sport. from an independent dealer. Still love the ES - they are beautiful cars. Thanks for all of your great insights - they helped me ensure the GS didn't slip through my fingers.

I find it hard to believe that salesman wouldn't be on top of this change. Oh well, maybe I'll get the elusive pano roof in my next car. Appreciate the update Dave.
